Robert Armin

Comic actor who replaced Will Kempe in the Lord Chamberlain's Men around 1599. Shakespeare wrote the witty philosophical fools — Touchstone, Feste, and Lear's Fool — specifically for Armin's more intellectual style. Also a playwright and author of 'Fool Upon Fool' (1600).
