How Parts Known works
Everything on Parts Known starts with a person. Every company member, every venue technician, every director — they all have their own profile first. The groups, venues and companies they belong to are built on top of that.
You are always a person first. Even if you run a company or manage a venue, you have your own credits, your own skills, your own connections. Parts Known belongs to you — not to the organisation.
Groups and venues are shared spaces. When you add a credit to a production run by a company, that credit lives on your profile and on theirs. The history of a company is the sum of the people who made its work happen.
Credits are the connective tissue. Every credit links a person to a work, a venue, a group, and a set of collaborators. Over time, those connections form a verified, searchable record of the whole industry.
